PURPOSE: A functional beverage is provided to promote growth of children using medicinal herbs to improve the physical constitution of the children. CONSTITUTION: A functional beverage is produced using herbal extracts from Astragali Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Eucommiae Cortex, Hoelen, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Angelicae gigantis Radix, Corni Fructus, Ginseng Radix Alba, Polygoni multiflori Radix, Cordyceps sinensis, Rehmanniae Radix, Coicis Semen, Lycii Fructus, antler, and honey. In particular, the functional beverage contains 1% of Astragali Radix, 5% of Dioscoreae Rhizoma, 10% of Eucommiae Cortex, 5% of Hoelen, 6% of Glycyrrhizae Radix, 10% of Angelicae gigantis Radix, 5% of Corni Fructus, 5% of Ginseng Radix Alba, 6% of Polygoni multiflori Radix, 2% of Cordyceps sinensis, 5% of Rehmanniae Radix, 6% of Coicis Semen, 8% of Lycii Fructus, 5% of antler, and 10% of honey. The herb extracts are mixed with distilled water in a ratio of 1:5, and heated at 98 deg.C for 10 hours.
