PURPOSE: Provided is a method of preparing an ethyl acetate fraction of a Flos Puerariae extract containing isoflavonoids including tectorigenin and kaikasaponin III, and saponin which show antimutagenic effects. Therefore, the fraction and components of Flos Puerariae can be used as an anticarcinogen and an anticancer agent. CONSTITUTION: Flos Puerariae is extracted in a solvent and subjected to column chromatography to produce isoflavonoids and saponin having an antimutagenic effect. The solvent is selected from methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol. The isoflavonoid is at least one selected from tectorigenin, glycitein and glycitin. The composition for inhibition of mutagenesis contains one or more of isoflavonoids or saponin as an active ingredient.
