The invention relates to a modular device for cleaning the windscreen of a motor vehicle. Said device comprises a carrier element which extends transversally in relation to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a cover which covers said carrier element. At least one wiper arm, a drive device for the wiper arm and a container for the cleaning liquid are fixed to the carrier element. In order to ensure a simple connection between an air channel and the modular device, the carrier element comprises an air inlet to which an air guiding connection piece is connected in a sealed manner. Preferably, said air guiding connection piece forms a single component with the carrier part.
