Control of filling process for fluid and granulated material vessels of different shapes

The filling of vessels of with fluids or granulated materials takes place in a controlled process that is dependent upon the geometry and shape of the vessels, eg cylindrical or sphere shapes. The controller can be a three term PID controller and the gain and time constants can be adjusted dependent upon vessel shape to achieve a stable reference condition.
