Device (10) for positioning a siphon (20) having a sealing region below a waste outlet of a shower or bath between the floor and the under surface of the bath comprises a height-adjustable platform onto which one under side of the siphon is fixed and with which the bath-side sealing region of the siphon is horizontally positioned near the under surface of the bath. An Independent claim is also included for a siphon for connecting in a liquid-tight manner a waste pipe (19) to a waste outlet of a shower or bath using the above device.
