A vehicle security device has two parts A, B. Part A is an RF transmitter to be worn or carried by the vehicle operator, and electronically communicates with part B which is mounted on the vehicle. Part B inhibits 6 use of the vehicle in the absence of part A. Inhibition also takes place if the vehicle has been left unattended with the key in the ignition and engine running, or if movement of the vehicle is detected 5 in the absence of part A. A time delay may be incorporated. |
