A storage device (10, 200) for retaining one or more sheet items (12) for access by a user. The storage device (10) has a storage device cover (16) including front and rear panels (18, 20), and contains one or more first binding members (32) which receive apertures (14) formed in the sheet items (12) to register the sheet items relative to the cover (16). One or more second binding members (38) are hingedly connected to the storage device cover (16) and preferably operate independently of the front and rear panels (18, 20) of the cover (16) to engage the first binding members (32). Retained sheet items (12) are able to be moved from a first position generally parallel with the rear panel (20) to a second position generally parallel with the front panel (18). Alternatively, the storage device (100, 300) includes a single panel (20) that carriers the first and second binding members (32, 38). |
