Height adjustment apparatus 10 comprising two support bodies 12 pivotally linked together by a connection arrangement. Each support body has spaced projections 14a, 14b that may locate against either straight S or angled portions C of an item I to be supported. The projections may have first surfaces that may locate a corner of the item C, and second surfaces locating a straight portion of the item S. The projections do not protrude significantly from the item and do not therefore present a trip hazard. Each support body may be pivoted to enable each body to be locatable against different portions of the item. The connection arrangement may comprise two linkage arms, 16a, 16b, that are joined to provide linear adjustment of the distance between the support bodies. The pivot arrangement 28 may pivot an arm of the connection arrangement from a first higher position to a second lower position, compensating for the thickness of the linkage arm. The height of the apparatus may be varied using releasably attachable raisers 50. |
