The invention relates to an alternating current motor with an inductor with permanent magnets. According to the invention, the motor has a rotor comprising one or more modules (12), each module comprising a permanent magnet (18) having a circular crown-shape, with magnetization in the axial direction and alternating direction upon passing from a module to the other, said magnet being positioned between two polar pieces (16 and 17), in the shape of multiple clamps whose terminations towards the air gap coalesce to form a heteropolar configuration with the same number of pole pairs as the stator winding. The axial spacing between the two polar pieces of a module is made by means of some spacers (19) made of non-magnetic material, which, by means of some axial dowels (20) and of some guide rings (21) also ensures the adequate circumferential positioning between the pair of polar pieces of a module, by securing it inside some milled seats. The relative circumferential positioning of the adjacent modules thus constituted is carried out by means of other spacing and guiding circular pieces (23) made of non-magnetic material, put between the modules, as well as by means of some axial pins (24) passing through the circular pieces located between the modules, and are fastened in the polar pieces of the adjacent modules in the corresponding passing-through holes. The guiding pieces are provided with a number of grooved wedges (keyway) (h and k) at the inner circumference so as to be assembled with the magnetic shaft (11) of the inductor by means of non-magnetic longitudinal wedges (22). The packet of elementary modules formed this way is clamped axially on the shaft by means of some special washers (14) and of a special nut (15) screwed in directly on the shaft in the side opposite to the driving side, on the driving side a non-magnetic flange (13) being provided, axially secured in a shoulder of the shaft by means of screws.
