The invention relates to a process and installation for synthesizing simultaneously 1.15 pentadecane dicarboxylic acid and cyclopentadecanone, starting from cyclohexanone. The process consists in converting the cyclohexanone into cyclohexanone triperoxide by a peroxidation reaction, the resulting triperoxide cyclohexanone being further subjected to a continuous thermal decomposition of air catalytic oxidation, when the cyclopentadecanone and the 1.15 pentadecanone dicarboxylic acid result simultaneously. The installation comprises a peroxidation reactor, having some structural members allowing the peroxidation reaction at the industrial scale, a coil-type tubular isothermal reactor for decomposition, a continuous reactor for the air catalytic oxidation and a dehydrogenating reactor in a heterogenous catalysis.
