The wear on the friction clutch, in an automobile drive transmission, is reduced by an integrated reduction at the crankshaft, giving a part of the gear reduction, so that the rotary speeds are lower giving less wear on the transmission system. There are smaller kink angles at the universal joints. The leading end of the crankshaft or the motor block is angled to improve the automobile aerodynamics and oil feedback, through a non-parallel arrangement of the crankshaft in relation to the flywheel shaft.
