735,406. Anchor bolts. BIELSTEIN, E., and BAUER, E., [trading as BAUER, C., [Firm of]]. Aug. 27, 1953 [Aug. 28, 1952], No. 23695/53. Class 89(1). [Also in Group XXI] A bolt to be fired into steel plates, masonry &c., has a shank 1 and a shoulder 2 to limit the depth of penetration. An axial bore in the shank receives a stud 5 projecting from a removable tip 4 which facilitates penetration and is afterwards removed so that the forward end of the shank may be riveted in position. The stud 5 may have a push-fit in the shank or may be screwed into the bore. Adhesives may also be used to secure the stud. |
