Driving mechanism for serving trolleys in passenger aircraft has castors in holders moved in guide sleeves by lifting/locking unit

The mechanism has drive rollers and a locking device to park it. The drive rollers are castors (3), and each is born in a castor holder (7). The holder is moved in a guide sleeve (4) by a lifting unit (8), which also acts as locking device. The castor projects from the sleeve when in driving position, and is retained in the sleeve when locked, so that the trolley is placed on the stand surfaces (5) of the guide sleeves for parking. All components of the drive mechanism are of light-weight construction, esp. of plastic.
