The invention relates to a vibration damper used for equipments fastened on a foundation. According to the invention, the vibration damper comprises two discs (1) having some resilient elements (2) mounted therebetween, said resilient elements being made up of steel cables bent in the shape of a half circle, a profiled piece (4) having a cylindrical shape and a dish-ended side on which a threaded pin (3) presses, the other end being machined in a semicylindrical shape having a radius equal to the steel cable radius which it squeezes on the whole contact surface between the two pieces (3 and 4).
