The device is of bipolar stacked construction with a number of sub-cells separated by conductive intermediate walls, whereby each sub-cell contains a positive and negative electrode and an electrode separator. The electrodes are in the form of regular hexagonal. The housing is circularly cylindrical or cylindrical with a hexagonal base. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: an electrode for use in an inventive device and a method of manufacturing an inventive electrode.
