Before fitting into a component structure (3), first (1) and second (2) metal components to be joined with a welding joint (5) are subjected independently to a temporary preliminary treatment in order to alter each component's bodily output temperature. Before carrying out fusion welding, both components each have a different component bodily temperature kept almost constant until fusion welding begins.
