Dismountable casting mold side wall with contained magnetic system

A side wall system for a concrete casting mould has removable box-section side walls that have at least one clamp magnet to hold the side wall in the correct position during casting relative to the steel floor of the casting bed. The clamp magnet involves a magnet 2 on a pivoting shaft 3 that can be moved to either let the magnet 2 contact the steel bed or to break the contact. The clamp magnet mechanism is fully contained in the space between the external walls of the mould sidewalls. An opening 6 in the top of each box-section sidewall allows a tool 7 to be inserted to move the pivoting shaft to either activate or deactivate the clamp magnet. As the clamping means are contained within the walls, the sidewalls can be easily stacked and the pouring and smoothing of the concrete in the mould is not hindered by the presence of bulky clamps.
