PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for displaying a score in a karaoke is provided to display scores by bars, thereby effectively practicing songs. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(700) selects a score display mode to display cumulative scores by bars or a mean score of the cumulative scores of a song selected by a user, including a selecting order of the user. A control unit(300) compares a voice of the user inputted through a microphone(2a) with song accompaniment information while playing the selected song. The control unit calculates scores by bars corresponding to the selected score display mode. A video control unit(500) displays the cumulative scores or the mean score of the cumulative scores according to the selected score display mode.
