FIELD: automatic self-loading small arms, in particular, automatic equipment engines, whose operation is based on discharge of powder gases through a hole in the barrel wall. SUBSTANCE: the automatic equipment engine has a gas chamber with a piston and a gas conduit including a gas-discharge hole in the barrel wall connecting the bore to the gas chamber. The novelty is in the fact that the gas-discharge hole is made in the area of the bore bullet input, in the cross-section the gas conduit is made as a line tangent to the gas chamber, and in the longitudinal section - at angle ϕ>90° to the bore line.
