PURPOSE: A locking apparatus using a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to allow a user to well secure a house from an intruder by remotely locking or unlocking a locking unit of a door by using a mobile communication terminal and changing an electronic code key used for unlocking any time as necessary not to easily expose the code key to others. CONSTITUTION: In order to change a mobile communication terminal to a locking mode, a user inputs a locking key through a key input unit(S100). In order for a locking unit to perform a locking operation, the user inputs a locking operation key of the key input unit according to a menu(S110) or inputs a re-booting key for resetting the locking unit(S120). In order to open the locking unit, the user inputs a locking release key of the key input unit according to the menu(S130). Then, the locking mode is changed to a locking release mode. In this state, the user inputs a locking unit operation stop key(S140) or inputs a key for transmitting code key data(S150). Then, the locking unit performs a locking release operation(S180). If the user inputs a key for transmitting the code key data(S150), the mobile communication terminal transmits the code key data to the locking unit through the first Bluetooth module(S160). Then, the locking unit compares the code keys(S170). If the code keys are identical to each other, the locking unit performs a locking release operation(S180).
