PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to conduct the addressing in a stable manner by heightening the address voltage margin, to enhance the screen contrast by lowering the strength of the reset discharge, and to reduce the power consumption by lowering the reset voltage. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel has the first and the second substrates(4,8). A barrier rib(2) surrounds all the unit cells between the first and the second substrates in the shape of a rectangle while partitioning the cells such that the RGB cells in one set are arranged in the shape of a triangle. Address electrodes(6) are formed on the first substrate(4) with a line pattern. The address electrode(6) has an extension(6a) in the line width within each cell. Discharge storage electrodes(10) are formed with bus electrodes(16) formed on the second substrate(8) with a line pattern vertical to the address electrodes(6) corresponding to the barrier rib(2), and a pair of transparent electrodes(18) extended from the two bus electrodes(16) to the inside of each cell. The width of the transparent electrode(18) along the longitudinal side of the bus electrode(16) is differentiated per the RGB cells, and the line width of the extension of the address electrode(6) is established to be smaller than the width of the transparent electrode(18) along the longitudinal side of the bus electrode(16). |
