PURPOSE: An optical system illumination apparatus is provided to make an angle of a light small at an output plane of a light rod, by forming an incident plane of the light rod in a non-plane type. CONSTITUTION: According to the optical system illumination apparatus including an optical device comprising an incident plane where a light converged by being radiated from a light source is incident and an output plane outputting the incident light through total reflection, the incident plane of the optical device is formed in a non-plane type and thus an angle of the light at the output plane is reduced. The optical device is a light rod. The incident plane formed at an end of the light rod has at least one mountain part. And the incident plane formed at the end of the light rod is formed in a concave lens shape, or a convex lens shape.
