PURPOSE: A method for stepwise testing a speech path of a mobile communication exchange is provided to test the speech path by sections, so as to easily and promptly detect a cause of fault in all sections on the speech path. CONSTITUTION: An ASS-S(Access Switching Subsystem-Subscriber) self test is performed for a speech path test(200). If an error is detected, an ASS-S outputs the error(208). If an error is not detected, the speech path test is performed from the ASS-S to an INS(Interconnection Network Subsystem)(202). If an error is detected, the ASS-S outputs the error in a section between the ASS-S to the INS(210), and if an error is not detected, the speech path test is performed from the INS to an ASS-M(Access Switching Subsystem-Mobile)(204). If an error is detected, the ASS-S outputs the error in a section between the INS to the ASS-M(212), and if an error is not detected, the speech path test is performed from the ASS-S and a vocoder(206). If an error is detected, the ASS-S outputs the error in a section between the ASS-M and the vocoder(214). |
