PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for analyzing fine particles are provided to increase the speed of a sheath flow regardless of an application of buffer solution by adopting a pressure gradient manner. CONSTITUTION: A focusing chamber(200) is formed on a substrate. A sample channel(210) is connected to the focusing chamber(200). At least one focusing channel(220) is connected to the focusing chamber(200). A sheath flow, which allows samples to flow in series one by one, is introduced into the focusing channel(220). A waist channel(240) is connected to the focusing chamber(200). A pressure control device(410) is provided to form pressure gradient between channels in such a manner that samples and sheath flow are guided into the waist channel(240) through the focusing chamber(200). An image photographing device(500) is provided to photograph samples flowing within the focusing chamber(200) in a series. An image controller(600) is provided to analyze a sample image obtained by the image photographing device(500).
