METHOD FOR COOLING BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE: A method for cooling blast furnace is provided to more effectively prevent adhesion of adhesive material deteriorating blast furnace circumstances adhered to the belly part of the blast furnace due to super-cooling by maintaining temperature of the belly part to a certain temperature or more. CONSTITUTION: The method for cooling blast furnace comprises the steps of preparing a belly part stave cooling apparatus(100) which is equipped with a heater at stave cooling system of blast furnace, and in which a conventional integral stave is dividingly constructed into an upper stave(52) for cooling an upper belly part and a lower stave(51) for cooling a lower belly part; measuring temperature of the belly part of the blast furnace and temperature of cooling water circulating inside the stave, and obtaining thickness of an adhesion layer of adhesive material using the measured values; and performing cooling according to current cooling conditions in case that the obtained thickness of the adhesion layer of the adhesive material is less than 50 mm, and ascending temperature of the stave circulating water until temperature of the belly part reaches 100 deg.C or more by operating the heater in case that thickness of the adhesion layer is 50 mm or more, or temperature of the belly part is less than 100 deg.C.
