<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of artificial yellow earth mortar with peculiar properties of yellow earth by using red mud. The resultant artificial yellow earth mortar is used under an alkali condition of pH7.5-9.0. CONSTITUTION: The artificial yellow earth mortar is prepared by the following steps of: preparing artificial yellow earth by adding 30-70wt.% of kaolin or zeolite to red mud which is generated in the process of extraction of sodium aluminate from bauxite, and has similar physical and chemical properties to natural yellow earth; activating artificial yellow earth by firing at 750-900deg.C for 0.5-2hrs; adding and mixing 100pts.wt. of artificial yellow earth, 30-50pts.wt. of Ca(OH)2, 10-70pts.wt. of plastering sand, 3-15pts.wt. of admixtures such as flocculant, surfactant, anti-forming agent, etc. The resultant artificial yellow earth mortar is used under alkali condition of pH7.5-9.0 for inducing hydraulic and pozzolan reaction of red mud powder, resulting in prevention of cracks.</p> |
