FUEL NOZZLE WITH VARIABLE SWIRL FOR DRY LOW NOX GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR FOR POWER GENERATION

PURPOSE: A fuel nozzle is provided to achieve improved combustion efficiency and reduce combustion instability, while protecting the components in the gas turbine from burning by preventing the back fire. CONSTITUTION: A fuel nozzle comprises an in-nozzle cylindrical structure(1), an out-nozzle cylindrical structure(2), a variable swirl(3), and a swirl driving unit for adjusting angle of the variable swirl through the control of oil pressure in accordance with the control signal of the gas turbine. The natural gas fuel-air mixture is supplied to the swirl through a mixture air inlet portion(13) so as to create an excellent combustion condition during the combustion operation of the dry low NOx gas turbine combustor adopting a lean premixed combustion system. The swirl driving unit includes an operating piston(10) interlocked to an oil hole(11), and a connecting rod(7) for permitting a link arm(8) connected to the operating piston to transmit power for rotating the swirl.
