PURPOSE: A nonaqueous electrolyte solution and a lithium battery employing the electrolyte solution are provided, to enhance the overcharge stability, to inhibit the swelling and to improve the transformation characteristic, the standard capacity and the deterioration of lifetime characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte solution comprises a lithium salt; an organic solvent; and 1-20 wt% of a mixture of the compound represented by the formula 1 and a hydride of the compound of the formula 1, wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are the same or different each another and are H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group of C1-C4, an alkoxy group of C1-C4, a nitro group or an amine group; X is a halogen atom, an alkyl group of C1-4, an alkoxy group of C1-C4, a nitro group or an amine group; and n is an integer of 1-10. |
