PURPOSE: A digital mobile terminal implementing a multi-function key and a implementing method thereof are provided to allow a user to use a shift, Alt and Ctrl function keys of a key board with a touch screen panel. CONSTITUTION: A controller of a digital mobile terminal judges whether there is a user input through a touch screen panel(201). When there is a user's input, the controller judges whether a shift, an Alt or a Ctrl button displayed on the touch screen panel has been pressed(203,205,207). If the shift, Alt or Ctrl button has been pressed, the controller judges whether the corresponding button is pressed continuously(209). If one of shift Alt and Ctrl buttons is pressed continuously, the controller sets a multi-key flag to 1(211). The controller calculates a coordinate value from the touch screen panel(213) and judges whether the multi-key flag has been set to 1(215). If the multi-key flag has been set to 1, the controller compares the currently obtained coordinate value with a coordinate value for a multi-key + another key previously stored in a memory unit and performs an operation of a corresponding function(217). If the multi-key flag is not set to 1, the controller performs an operation according to a coordinate value of the corresponding point.
