Heat-curable moulding compositions based on unsaturated resin dissolved in unsaturated liquid monomer (B) and containing anti-shrinkage additive (C), peroxide and filler, in which (B) is a vinyltoluene and/or tertiobutyl-styrene and (C) is a copolymer of methyl methacrylate with a vinyl monomer and/or methyl or ethyl acrylate, also dissolved in (B). A heat-curable moulding composition (I) containing a polyester resin or epoxy-vinyl ester (A) dissolved in an unsaturated liquid monomer (B), anti-shrinkage additive(s) (C), an organic peroxide catalyst and a mineral filler, in which monomer (B) is a vinyltoluene and/or a tert.-butylstyrene and (C) comprises copolymers of methyl methacrylate with a vinyl monomer and/or methyl acrylate and/or ethyl acrylate, also dissolved in (B). Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of (I) by making a mixture of the filler with any additives (if required), making a mixture of (A), (B), (C) and any other liquid or soluble components, and then mixing the filler or the first mixture with the second mixture; (2) rigid objects obtained by crosslinking (I); (3) a solution of methyl methacrylate/styrene copolymer in vinyltoluene; and (4) a heat-curable composition containing a solution as in (3).
