PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a multi-modulous type prescaler by using a single p/p+1 dual-modulus counter. SOLUTION: The prescaler 1 comprises a 4/5 dual-modulous counter and its low-order binary counter, and modulous control over the 4/5 dual-modulous counter is performed with three kinds of control signals p+1, p+2, and p+4 control from a one-shot circuit 3 and a swallow counter 2 to constitute a multi- modulus type prescaler for p/p+1/p+2/p+4, so that the prescaler is used for a frequency-dividing counter and a frequency synthesizer. |
