<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the application range of a microcomputer having an address space with n-th power of 2 bytes. SOLUTION: In this microcomputer having an internal address space (incorporated ROM2, incorporated RAM3, and incorporated peripheral function) including first and second internal address spaces and an external address space (external space), the external address space is provided with a first mode (a) in which the first internal address space is disposed at one edge of the space of the n-th power of 2 bytes, and the second internal address space is disposed at the other edge of the space of the n-th power of 2 bytes and a second mode (b) in which the first internal address space is disposed at one edge of the address space which is smaller than the space of the n-th power of 2 bytes, and the second internal address space is disposed at the other edge of the address space which is smaller than the space of the n-th power of 2 bytes. Thus, it is possible to set the address space according to the purpose of use of the microcomputer.</p> |
