<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of the directly heated oxide cathode and the fluorescent display tube using the directly heated oxide cathode. SOLUTION: An alkaline earth oxide of an average particle size of 0.1μm-2.0μm is coated on the surface of a metal core-wire in thin layer of 0.5μm-4.0μm and a filament shape cathode is made, thereby the power consumption of the filament shape cathode is reduced. Further, the filament shape cathode is mounted on the fluorescent display tube and power consumption of the fluorescent display tube is reduced.</p> |
