PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allocating names or identifiers to network resource location in a general, uniform and uniquely manner. SOLUTION: An interface device receives an identifier, converts it into the corresponding domain name, and transmits the domain name to a DNS (Domain Name System) server. The server solves the domain name, extracts a name allocating pointer resource record (NAPTR-RR) corresponding to the identifier, and sends the NAPTR-RR back to the interface device. The interface device receives the NAPTR-RR, extracts the telephone URL from the NAPTR-RR, and dials the telephone number included in the URL so as to make a call.
