PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a non-display part during sector display rises black brightness depending on a display region display pattern according to a leakage current during OFF of a transistor in a display device using an EL element, etc., and requires electric power according to brightness because the EL element is a self-luminous optical element. SOLUTION: Since the EL element emits light according to an electric current, the brightness change of the EL element 126 caused by the drain electric current change of a drive transistor 127 caused by a leakage current 127d is prevented by arranging a transistor 127c, an electric current interception means, on a wiring route from a EL power source wire 125 to the EL element 126. The number of scanning lines and gate signal line electric power are reduced by making a non-display state in an undisplayed line by using the transistor 127c, the electric current interception means. The electric power is reduced also in a sauce signal line by changing a current value flowing through the same gray scale data according to the size of the number of colors, time and a display region. |
