PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a memory card from being imprudently ejected in the middle of writing or reading data, in a memory card mounting device having a structure in which the memory card 1 is inserted and locked by a locking mechanism 12 in a state of being connected to a connector. SOLUTION: The memory card mounting device is provided with a detection means (lock position detection part) 20 for detecting the inserted state when the memory card 1 is inserted to a position to be locked by the locking mechanism 12. On the basis of detection signals from the detection means 20, write or read of the data to/from the memory card and an unlocking operation of the memory card are controlled.
