PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem in a gas-insulated transformer of natural convection cooling type that a transformer becomes too large in size and a cost increases significantly in the case a gas passage in a winding is enlarged to improve the cooling capacity. SOLUTION: A high heat radiation substance 11 is provided on the inner surface of a tank 6 to absorb the heat from a heat generating part 10, and the heat transfer quantity is made large by the substance 11, so that the cooling capacity of an entire gas-insulated transformer can be improved and the gas- insulated transformer can be made small in size and light in weight.
