PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission system which can provide images in a range remarkably wider than that in a conventional system in the case of providing the images (moving images and still images) of a road situation, etc., to a user, and to provide a image transmitter and an image obtaining device to be used for the system. SOLUTION: Photographing vehicles 1 mount video cameras 50 and on-vehicle equipment 30, and photographed road video is transmitted to a server device 10 via the Internet 100. The user access the server device 10 by using a car navigation system 60, a personal information terminal 70 such as a portable telephone set and a communication terminal 80 such as a personal computer and downloads the road video from the server device 10. In order to prevent transmission of overlapped road video to the server device 10, the server device 10 selects the photographing vehicle which has to transmit the road video based on positional information on the photographing vehicle 1 transmitted successively from the on-vehicle equipment 30. |
