<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a magnetic recording and reproducing device so as not to bring about the jumping and the loosening of a tape at the time of starting up a capstan motor for performing a high-speed fast-forwarding mode or a high-speed rewinding mode. SOLUTION: At the time of starting up the capstan motor for performing the high-speed fast-forwarding mode or the high-speed rewinding mode, a system controller 12 raises gradually the driving voltage to the capstan motor from an L level or a voltage level with which the motor starts its rotation by controlling a capstan motor driving circuit 11 and the controller 12 shifts to an ordinary drive control by capstan FG pulses after a lapse of a fixed time from the start time or at the point of time when the capstan FG pulses become possible to be measured.</p> |
