PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing deterioration of the image quality such as lowering of density and a density irregularity or an image defect such as an omission of character from occurring by correcting the fluctuation of the distance between a developer carrier and an image carrier at the stop position of a developing unit even when the distance between them is fluctuated because of various factors. SOLUTION: This developing device is constituted so that it is equipped with a developing unit stop position correction means for correcting the stop position of the developing unit by rotating a developing unit attaching member from a reference position, detecting the rotational amount of the developing unit attaching member obtained until a rotational amount detection means detects an angle recognition member provided on the developing unit attaching member by the rotational amount detection means, and correcting the stop position thereof with a difference between the detected amount by the rotational amount detection means and a specified value as a correction value, and a specified value changing means for changing the specified value of the developing unit stop position correction means, to solve the problems mentioned in the purpose. |
