PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a balanced printing while saving toner consumption and also at least automatically securing the printing quality without individually setting the saving amount of toner, in a digital image forming device. SOLUTION: An original is read by an original reading means 1, and then, converted into digital image information, and then, the density sum of each pixel in the whole image is counted by a density counter 5 so as to detect the image density of the original. And, in the case the average density of the detected digital image information is exceeding a set threshold in a trial copying mode where the density is set lower than the normal image forming density, the density conversion is performed, that is, the image forming density is automatically reduced by an automatic image density reducing processing means 7, thereafter, the original image is printed by a printing means 3. |
