PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a manufacture method that enables to efficiently and continuously manufacture with high productivity a positive photosensitive lithographic printing plate which is suitable for the scanning recording method with an IR laser beam, which has stability with time, namely a stabilized state of storage property, scratch resistance or the like before development, which has favorable solubility and excellent latitude for development during developing to form an image, and which can form a favorable image. SOLUTION: The method features that a positive photosensitive lithographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer containing a photo-thermal conversion substance and an alkali-soluble organic polymer substance having a phenolic hydroxyl group is subjected to steam treatment for within 60 seconds. |
