PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing structure capable of preventing instantaneous power shutoff caused by dropping impact of an electronic apparatus and of preventing trouble in inserting and extracting a battery at a low cost by a simple method. SOLUTION: This battery housing structure is provided with: an opening 9 for mounting and dismounting the battery; a casing 11 for holding the battery 3; an elastic terminal 13 formed by being extended from a support part 17 located in the vicinity of a holding member 12 of the casing 11 with one side fixed to a fixing part 14 and with the other side turnably supported, having a tip 13a extended from the support part 17 connected to and disconnected from a positive electrode 4 of the battery 3 and provided with a projecting part 13b having a part between the fixing part 14 and the support part 17 projecting toward the opening 9, and a battery cover 10 provided with an abutting piece 18 for pressing the projecting parts 13b. The battery housing structure is so structured that the tip 13a of the elastic terminal 13 is connected to and disconnected from the positive electrode 4 of the battery 3 in response to opening and closing of the battery cover 10, respectively.
