PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform an upgrade of software. SOLUTION: Information showing the identification number and the version of the software of a terminal 10 is transmitted from the terminal 10 (e). Based on the information showing the version from the terminal 10, a server 40 retrieves whether the software of the terminal 10 is the latest version or not. When the version is not latest, the presence of the latest version is returned to the terminal 10 (f). When the terminal 10 receives the return of presence of the latest version, the terminal 10 requests the transmission of upgrade information to the server 40 (g). In response to the request, the server 40 provides the upgrade information to the terminal 10 (h).
