The method of selecting low pressure in the tyres of a motor vehicle uses sensors (E1-4) mounted on each wheel (R1-4) of the vehicle (10). The sensors transmit pressure data to a central processor (ECU). Each wheel also has an anti lock braking system sensor (S1-4) which transmits identification data for each wheel being sensed. Claim includes a monitoring system using the method.
