TIME SHIFTED REPRODUCTION METHOD OF BROADCAST AUDIO/ VIDEO INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for avoiding missing of information in a car radio comprising a forground receiver being tuned to a radio program selected by a user and a background receiver being tuned to a traffic radio station, or in a television set where a display is tuned off when a vehicle is moving. SOLUTION: For the purpose of time shifted reproduction of broadcast audio/ video information being received continuously and reproduction of which is suppressed for each case by information of higher priority, e.g. traffic announcement, information suppressed temporarily is received and buffered continuously in a recording medium. The stored information is held in stand-by state for time shifted reproduction based on the judgment of a user.
