PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight high-rigidity loudspeaker diaphragm. SOLUTION: The method for producing a loudspeaker diaphragm comprises forming a loudspeaker diaphragm shape from a crystalline thermoplastic synthetic resin, subjecting it to the permeation of a nonreactive gas under elevated pressure, releasing it from the pressure, and foaming it by heating to a temperature higher than the softening temperature of the synthetic resin and lower than its melting temperature to fabricate a loudspeaker diaphragm. This method can give a loudspeaker diaphragm having a homogeneous foamed state, a low density, a high rigidity, and lightweight properties and used in acoustic devices.
