PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein data for setting the light emission output of an optical head are not conformed to recording data of the actual recording operation since the recording data themselves actually recorded on the disk are not being detected in the process of disk recording operation. SOLUTION: Sub-beams positioned temorally behind main beams for writing a data signal by diffracting light beams emitted from the light source of the optical head are formed on the disk so that the actual data signal written by the main beams is read using the sub-beams at the time of recording to the disk. Then, the data signal read by using the sub-beams is sampled in the period when the light emission output of the optical head reaches a specified level of one out of a recording level and reproducing level, and the recording state of the data signal recorded on the disk is detected by using the sampled data signal, and the light emission output of the optical head is controlled in accordance with this detection. |
