PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of efficiently performing print processing. SOLUTION: A host computer obtains information on a transfer speed to communicate with a printer from a speed MAP- register (S00). Subsequently, the present data transfer speed set between the host computer and the printer is obtained (S01). In here, the data transfer speed to the printer in the circumstance were another device does not exist between the host computer and the printer is obtained. The data transfer speeds obtained in both steps are compared (S02). When they do not agree (No in S03), the optimum resolution is obtained according to the corresponding information of the data transfer speed and the resolution held in the storage device of the host computer (S04). The resolution obtained in the step S04 is updated to the resolution information of the printer held in the host computer (S05), whereby the optimum print resolution is set and the set processing is ended. |
