PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode electrode catalyst capable of improving performance of a fuel cell in comparison with a conventional one without sintering Pt and Ru. SOLUTION: This anode electrode catalyst manufacturing method for a solid polymer fuel cell comprises steps 1-4, 7, 9, and 12. In step 1, water soluble polymer is dissolved in water to prepare a water-soluble polymer aqueous solution. In step 2, the water-soluble polymer aqueous solution is pressurized. In step 3, the water-soluble polymer aqueous solution is heated. In step 4, a noble metal colloid solution is added to the water-soluble polymer aqueous solution. In step 7, carbon is added to the water-soluble polymer aqueous solution. In step 9, the water-soluble polymer aqueous solution, to which the noble metal colloid and carbon is added, is filtrated and cleaned. In step 12, a residual except for filtrate in the filtration and cleaning is heated. |
